Two North East charities have selected alphatech as their new IT partner of choice, enabling them to focus on the strategic growth of their offering to people across the region.
We’re proud to be working with two such brilliant charities who help and support people across the local area and it was an honour to secure these contracts. We look forward to a long and happy working relationship.
Rob Rushby, Technical Director
Based on Riverside Park in Middlesbrough, alphatech IT Solutions has been offering a full range of IT services including support, connectivity and telecoms for over 20 years, and has welcomed two key local charities to its client base; Tees Valley Women’s Centre and My Sister’s Place.
Both charities were looking for a proactive partnership, as Technical Director Rob Rushby explains: “We focus heavily on creating long-term, strategic solutions for our customers – whatever their size – so that they have infrastructure in place that can grow with them. But more than that, we work with them proactively, always looking ahead to ensure we keep them protected and prepared.
“Relationships are important to us, the whole point of what we do means that customers shouldn’t need to be in contact with us too frequently, but we make regular ‘keeping in touch’ calls and always stand by our promise of answering the phone within three rings.”
Both charities have taken alphatech’s signature IT Support, with Tees Valley Women’s Centre also including the Hosted Voice solution (a VOIP solution offering vast flexibility) – futureproofing its telecoms ahead of the ISDN switch off in 2025 – with the company’s Service Delivery Manager, Neil Wood managing a seamless transition.
Lesley Storey, Chief Executive Officer at My Sister’s Place said: “As a front line service it is critical we have access to our systems and IT services, our transition over to alphatech was a seamless one with minimum disruption meaning we could continue to carry out our vital work within the community. Our experience of alphatech’s service has been of high quality, they communicate with us every step of the way so we understand each part of the process.”
The service provided by alphatech will include managing cyber security, something especially important due to the nature of the charities’ work, and particularly in a time where breaches are frequently reported by the media.
Donna Middleton, Operations Manager at Tees Valley Women’s Centre said: “Earlier this year to update our IT and phone system, we decided to use alphatech, a local company that was recommended to us. Rob and his team made the transition from our previous contractor painless and stress free. Any problems, alphatech are quick to rectify. We are very happy with the service we are receiving.”
Rob Rushby continues: “We’re proud to be working with two such brilliant charities who help and support people across the local area and it was an honour to secure these contracts. We look forward to a long and happy working relationship.”
